Default Title Characters

Sooo, I was just wondering why everyone makes either a warrior or a monk for their "main" character, which they get all the titles for.

I was also wondering if I should start collecting titles for my monk or for my warrior, neither of 'em got anything right now tbh. I also got a Dervish with Elona and Cantha 100% explored and all the NM missions done so she got KoaBD.
So, Monk, War or Derv? And why?

Cheers

Pick one that you are willing to put some time and effort into. It doesn't really matter which profession it is.

Everyone had warriors or monks when they started playing GW and they became their main. Usually how it works out.

Theirs already a good amount of Warriors, but if you enjoy them go ahead. If you want to join groups being a monk would be much easier. It all comes down to what you prefer.

Define "everyone." My main is a GWAMM Mesmer, and I'm also playing my Dervish a lot.
I play with them more because I enjoy playing them more than my other characters. If you want to go for KoaBD titles, you're going to be spending A LOT of time on whichever character you choose to do it on. you might as well pick one you enjoy!

That right there. Pick something you want to play, there is no "best" and most everything can be accomplished on all professions.

There's a lot of assassins as mains title hunting now-a-days but that's simply because SF makes everything a little easier.

Most of the player base's 'main' characters are one of the core professions, since those were the only ones available at the time prophecies came out. Of those 6 professions, some were/are more popular than others. Warriors and Monks are more popular than Mesmers, for instance. My main and titlehunter is an Elementalist, since that was the first character I started when prophecies came out.

This. Gaining titles is gaining titles - any profession will do.

My main and title character is an Ele - I love playing elementalist, and even though she wasn't my first character, she has grown on me and become my main, titles and all ^^
